Publication Inspiration

If ever you've browsed the magazine section at a Barnes & Noble and checked out the tech section, you may have seen HackSpace.

Always shelved near Wired.

This thick & glossy publication is put out by the Raspberry Pi Foundation. You may have heard of the cheap & endlessly hackable credit-card sized computer they produce, a fave of makers everywhere.

Only $35!

If you're curious about the Raspberry Pi, you can always borrow one from the Ferguson Library (once it reopens).
Anyway, back to the magazine, which is part of the foundation's mission to "to put the power of computing and digital making into the hands of people all over the world." It's full of how-tos, tutorials, product reviews, profiles of distinguished makers, and other nifty stuff.

All that glossy paper (and international shipping costs) ensures that Hackspace sports a steep cover price. But here's a hack for all would-be hackers: every issue can be downloaded for free as a PDF file. So, no excuses! Time to find out how to make a mirror that encourages you.
